GUILFORD — Guilford Center Stage will hold open auditions for actors for a new full-length play, “Vermont Mythos, a small town fable,” written and directed by Michael Nethercott.
The two sessions of auditions are Thursday, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. No reservations are needed. Scenes from the script will be provided for auditioners.
The play, written for this production with an eye on this year’s national 250th anniversary, is drawn from Guilford history. Guilford Center Stage has previously presented several full-length plays and one-acts, including premieres, by Guilford playwright Nethercott. This will be the 17th production by this theater group, which has given special attention to works by Vermont, and Guilford, playwrights.
Performances are the first weekend of October — Thursday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 4. Rehearsals will run from mid-August through September. Tech week is Sept. 27-30.
