Gut Health have shared a new single, entitled ‘Beat To Beat’. It is their first officially-released new material since the release of their debut album Stiletto, which was released last October VIA AWAL Recordings. It was self-produced by the band, and was recorded at Newmarket Studio in North Melbourne with engineer Nao Anzai – whose credits include Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Floodlights, The Teskey Brothers and Seth Sentry, amongst others.
Born out of a 2024 jam session, ‘Beat To Beat’ was played live extensively over the last year – including on the band’s national headlining tour in support of Stiletto. It was recorded to tape almost exactly a year after the band first began working on it. Its release has been accompanied by a new music video, directed by Felix Addset, which focuses on close-ups of lead vocalist Athina Wilson.

Since the release of Stiletto, the band have continued to tour extensively. They toured nationally in support of Primal Scream back in January, and also performed at Dark Mofo in Hobart in June. The band are currently in Europe, undertaking a tour that will take them through Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. They will then return to Australia for four headlining shows in October, taking place across both New South Wales and their native Victoria.
