Gwyneth Paltrow stripped down to promote Goop’s latest product, a unisex shower gel.
On Tuesday, July 21, the 53-year-old actress shared a series of posts with her 9.1 million Instagram followers, featuring Gwyneth showering and promoting the product while wearing only a white towel. The beauty and wellness founder faced backlash in the comments from fans who complained about the product’s $38 price tag.
This comes after Gwyneth Paltrow was slammed as ‘disgusting’ for promoting a luxury condo in Israel.
One of the promo posts was captioned, ‘Want to shower with us? The next addition to your daily ritual is dropping soon, from Goop Beauty, as fans flocked to the comments with complaints.
Fans slammed Gwyneth for peddling the pricey body wash, with one commenting, “But who can afford them.. her products are awsome but not affordable for the everyday American.”

Others piled in, with one writing, “Her line is the best product line I have ever used. Unfortunately, after COVID, I couldn’t afford to use them anymore. Still looking for something like these at a price point I can afford.”
Another fumed, comparing Gwyneth to Marie Antoinette, writing, “Read the damn room, G. You sound like the American Marie A. ‘Let them eat… body scrub.'”
One simply wrote, “Nope, mid products and a tone deaf founder.” Goop was founded in 2008 by the actress and has raised eyebrows in the past over its products, which included DIY coffee enema kits, crystal vagina eggs, and even psychic vampire repellent spray.

Describing the luxury product, Gwyneth explained, “This body wash, we worked on for a long time. It was really important to me that it have a very grounding, beautiful smell, black pepper, and ginger. I wanted it to be unisex because my husband was asking for a shower gel as well that didn’t dry his skin out.’
She promoted the expensive shower gel while standing in a field in just a towel, which isn’t the first time she’s used nudity to promote Goop.
In 2017, she went topless and covered herself in mud for Goop’s first-ever print magazine edition, and in 2022, she wore a plunging nude bodysuit while lathering herself with luxury skin care in the shower before going topless in a Goop ad the following year.
Despite her penchant for stripping, Gwyneth’s most recent scandal came after the Oscar-winning nepo baby appeared in an ad for a luxury condo development in Israel.
In a viral video for the project, Gwyneth wakes up in a high-rise apartment and begins her day, listing the perks of living near a park.”There’s a reason the world’s most iconic buildings are by a park,” she says, as she tells a New York City taxi driver to take her to ’51 Park’ in Herzilya.
Despite claiming to be apolitical, fans swiftly condemned the collaboration and accused her of supporting Israel’s ongoing deadly war with Palestine and Lebanon.
