Gwyneth Paltrow suited up in Valentino for her “Good Morning America” appearance in New York City on Monday as part of her “Marty Supreme” promotional tour.
The Oscar-winning “Shakespeare in Love” actress took inspiration from the power suits of the 1980s, wearing a Valentino look by Alessandro Michele from the fall 2025 “Le Méta-Théâtre Des Intimités” collection. The gray wool set featured a double-breasted blazer and coordinated tapered trousers in the same fabric.

The blazer of Paltrow’s look embodied most of the Goop founder’s ’80s inspiration. The gray wool piece, which Paltrow wore sans shirt, featured sharp shoulder pads and a double-breasted silhouette with four buttons. The garment also featured pockets at the waistline.
With an elongated frame, the blazer transitioned to the trousers seamlessly, crafted with a slightly wide-leg fit and flare at the hem. Paltrow paired her gray suit with a set of pointed-toe black heels and opted to go minimal with her jewelry and glam.

Valentino’s fall 2025 collection “acknowledged the lure of the illicit,” per Joelle Diderich’s WWD review of the collection. Set in a giant public bathroom, “Models emerged from cubicles in various states of dishabille,” Diderich wrote. “Some wore nothing more than lace bodysuits left flapping open at the crotch, directing the eye to seek out the reassurance of nude tights worn underneath.”
Creative director Alessandro Michele “hewed close to his maximalist tendencies as he continued to explore the opulence at the core of the brand.”
Paltrow’s proclivity for minimalist styling has been on full display during her “Marty Supreme” promotional tour. For the Dec. 8 Los Angeles premiere of the film, Paltrow wore the strapless navy broome dress from her Gwyn apparel collection.

Gwyn is part of the expansion under Paltrow’s Goop, veering into minimalist, ’90s-inspired fashion with contemporary influences. Under the creative direction of Sofía Menassé, Gwyn debuted its inaugural collection in a private, invite-only show during September’s New York Fashion Week. The fashion line coincides with Paltrow’s ventures into food and beauty as well, beginning in 2024.
Directed by Josh Safdie, “Marty Supreme” follows ambitious Marty Mauser, played by Timothée Chalamet, who aspires to be the greatest table tennis player in the world, even if it costs him the relationships around him. The film hits theaters Dec. 25.
