Japan’s own Hanabie. are less than two weeks away from the release of their HOT TOPIC EP (no relation to the shopping mall mainstay, as far as we’re aware), and to tip their hand a bit, the band have unveiled the peculiar and chromatic music video for “Iconic.”
The song is a mix of electronic, metal, hardcore, and kawaii culture, fit for moshing, striking anime poses, and screaming your lungs out all at once. It is at once intense and unrestrained, and yet there’s more than enough technicality in the guitar work, the double kick drums, and any bit of its execution. If it’s your first look at Hanabie., you’re getting the full experience from moment one.

Hanabie. will release their HOT TOPIC EP on January 28th, with the track list as follows:

The EP will also be available as a limited CD/Blu-Ray combo, with the Blu-Ray featuring the band’s full concert from Zepp Shinjuku on their Bucchigiri Japan Tour in 2024. Check the band’s official website for pre-order information.
Hanabie will be appearing at Blare Fest next month, as well as touring Japan in February and North America beginning in March, alongside Nekrogoblikon and Enterprise Earth:
