It’s another ace for Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. The Adam Sandler-led sports comedy remained in the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row in Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart for the week of July 28.
Happy Gilmore 2 finished the week with 1.989 billion viewing minutes, earning the distinction of having two of the three biggest weeks for movies in 2025.
According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, three titles had more than a billion viewing minutes for the week, with Netflix occupying all but one spot in the chart (one of those positions had shared distribution rights with Hulu). Disney+ was the other streamer to feature in the chart.
The Hunting Wives ascended to the second position from third with 1.579 billion minutes viewed. The Netflix original resonated with the Adults 18-34 demo, rising from 18% in the previous week to 27% during the final week of July.
KPop Demon Hunters jumped back to third place from fourth with 1.102 billion viewing minutes. The Kids 2-11 demo comprised more than half of this interval’s audience as the buzz of the animated feature continues to grow, fueling its momentum.
Last week’s runner-up, Untamed, dropped to fourth place with 872 million viewing minutes, and Disney’s Bluey continues to hold steady in the No. 5 position with 801 million minutes viewed.
The latter half of the chart comprised Netflix’s Hightown, which had 750 million minutes viewed. This was followed by the shared title Grey’s Anatomy on Hulu and Netflix, racking up 720 million viewing minutes to finish in the No. 7 position. Animal Kingdom rose two places to land in eighth place with 719 million minutes viewed.
At No. 9 is the Netflix-acquired series Blindspot, which garnered 713 million minutes viewed. The final spot went to the debut of the comedy series Leanne, which had 690 million viewing minutes.
