Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent most of the week in Australia carrying out a variety of joint and solo engagements. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit royal life in 2020, returned Down Under for the first time since 2018.
Although Meghan and Harry seem to have been welcomed with open arms to Australia, the public seem to have mixed feedback about the couple’s time in the country.
Other criticisms were made about the couple using their trip for “self-promotion”, with local newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald slamming the couple.

While Meghan and Harry did meet a number of people on their trip in Australia, they did not carry out any major public walkabouts.
This is because of “security and costs associated with keeping public order”.
The couple did not bring their children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, with them on the trip.
Instead, the couple’s children are believed to have stayed at home in Montecito.
