Hayley’s Unexpected Windfall!
Hayley is lookin up cruise trips when Bill approaches. He thinks she looks all kinds of guilty and wonders what she’s doing. Hayley says she’s not guilty of anything as she was simply daydreaming about a beach vacation. She thinks it’s too late to plan such a thing as everything she checked was booked solid. He suggests they buy a vacation home but Hayley thinks he is being too extravagant. They look for houses and when they find one in St. Barths, Bill makes an offer and they await an answer. After a small chat, they get an answer and Bill says he’s putting the home in her name. With that he exits, leaving Hayley to cheer on herself.
Anita Focuses on Barbara
Nicole brings Laura over to meet up with Dani and Anita about the Dupree Foundation. Laura says the gala is one of her favorite events of the year. They discuss the charity but Anita says, this year, they are going to shine a light on the darkness. She wants those in the music industry to directly benefit. Laura intervenes and wonders if shining a light on Barbara’s name won’t allow Leslie an opening to intervene.
Laura suggests they focus on the mental health angle without attaching Barbara’s name. Anita gets it but doesn’t want to sweep Barbara into the shadows. With that, Dani gives an update to the silent auction items. With that, they ask Dani to be the auctioneer. Nicole and Dani decide to head out while Laura offers to stay behind to discuss the swag bags.
In the foyer, Dani and Nicole discuss the Carlton of it all. Nicole says there was no date as she realized she wasn’t ready to date. Dani wants her sissy to try but Nicole can’t take her pressure. She thinks Dani is trying to validate her own reckless decisions and exits.
Kat Chastises Chelsea About Her Meddlesome Ways on Beyond The Gates
Kat and Tomas meet up and she gives him vitamins to help heal his mangled member. He wants Kat to slow her roll and leave his penis be, for now. He tells her to relax so it can stop being their focus. Just then, Chelsea arrives with Madison and asks Tomas, “how’s it hanging.” He thinks she is hilarious, but not so much, before exiting.
Madison snaps at Chelsea which leads her to explaining to Kat about her mother. She tells Kat all about her mother and how she manipulates their relationship. Chelsea admits she reached out to Madison’s mother without permission and stepped over the line. With that, Madison exits. Afterwards, Kat says Chelsea is bombing worse than she did with Tomas. Kat thinks Madison has a point and begs her cousin to simply think about it.
Eva Bonds With Ted and Learns Surprising Information About Izaiah
Eva shows up at the country club for breakfast with her daddy. He says they haven’t spent much time outside of the office as he was trying to work things out with Nicole. He appreciates Eva being his biggest supporter. Moving forward, he wants to focus on what he was neglecting, especially Eva. He remembers he promised to bring her into the family and wants to correct the situation and she expresses her appreciation. With that, he asks his daughter to call him dad.
Eva is stunned by her father’s declaration and hesitantly calls him dad. He says how proud he is to be her father. Ted says Eva reminds him of all the best parts of her mother. He notes how Leslie was a breath of fresh air for him and a force to be reckoned with… just like Eva.
Later, Eva runs into Tomas at the country club. He asks about Izaiah and she says they’ve just talked a couple of times but no big deal. Eva is very surprised when she learns Izaiah is Jacob’s brother, both sons of the Chief of Police.
Leslie Gives Jan the Skinny on Her Progress With Ted on Beyond The Gates
Leslie meets up with Jan at Orphey Gene’s and tells her about Halloween night. She says she met up with Ted but Jan can’t deal with her throwing herself at her ex. Leslie assures Jan she did nothing of the kind. She said they actually had a very sweet conversation about their early relationship. Jan thinks her easing up opened up the road to friendship. She thinks it represents a big attitude shift.
Leslie tells Jan about some of her history with Ted and how they were friends first. Jan is surprised Leslie is willing to forgive Ted after everything that went down. Leslie notes Ted’s compassion towards Eva and how she thought she had to force the connection when he was open and willing all along.
Later, Leslie arrives at the hospital to check in with Ted about his breakfast with Eva. He fills her in and says she is now calling him dad. Leslie is touched by his kindness to their daughter and the two embrace, just as Nicole approaches.
Hayley and Joey Face Off!
Hayley is at Orphey Gene’s when Joey approaches. They make small talk about Bill when Joey brings up Randy. She quickly figures out what Randy used as a cover to throw his boss off the scent. Hayley turns the tables and says the only person she knows who works for him is named Sammy and explains about the day of her “miscarriage.” Joey stands silent as Hayley gives him the business and storms out.
