Black Friday: How to score major deals on Disney+, streaming platforms
With so many streaming services out there, it can be expensive keeping up with content. Here’s how to save money, while enjoying your favorite shows.
Problem Solved
- HBO’s comedy series “It’s Florida, Man.” is returning for a second season.
- The show, executive-produced in part by Danny McBride of “Righteous Gemstones,” reenacts strange but true stories from the Sunshine State.
- The new season will feature a long list of celebrity guest stars, including Tiffany Haddish, Rita Ora and Adam DeVine.
Floridians can be pretty strange. Some of us say things like “jiffy feet,” we might ask Google questions like “What do I do if there’s a gator in my pool?” and we’re now known nationwide for creating the “Florida man” stereotype.
If you haven’t paid much attention to Sunshine State news headlines within the past 10 years: a “Florida man” is what we call the kind of person who would attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a hamster wheel or lasso a 9-foot alligator.
Last year, the meaning of the phrase “Florida man” got a lot weirder and more star-studded. In October 2024, HBO released a show called “It’s Florida, Man.” – not to be confused with the Netflix series simply titled “Florida Man.”
The show is executive-produced in part by Danny McBride, who’s most well-known for co-creating and starring in “Eastbound and Down” and creating and starring in “Righteous Gemstones,” both of which are available to stream on HBO Max.
“With equal parts humor and heart, ‘It’s Florida, Man.’ is a love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and basements of a misunderstood yet magical state,” an HBO press release said.
And now, “It’s Florida, Man.” is coming back with a second season. The first episode is expected to drop on HBO’s streaming platform on Black Friday, Nov. 28.
Here’s what we know about HBO Max’s new Florida man show, who’s in the cast and how to stream the show.
What is the show ‘It’s Florida, Man.’ about?
The show, executive-produced in part by “East Bound and Down” and “Righteous Gemstones” creator and star Danny McBride, is part documentary, part dramedy, part reenactment and had a long roster of well-known guest stars in its first season.
“This outrageous late-night comedy series brings to life unbelievable ripped-from-the-headlines tales of the Sunshine State – straight from the people who live there,” a press release from HBO said.
“Featuring candid accounts from everyday Floridians playfully recreated by a rotating cast of actors and comedians, this hilarious and irreverent series sheds light on the viral, wacky, and weird.”
