Michigan-based ‘darknucore’ outfit Heartsick have debuted their new single, “Stuck in the Ground,” along with an official music video directed by Wombat Fire. The track is set to appear on the band’s upcoming new album, Break The Curse, releasing later this year.

Song number 3 Video number 3 are out. Typing up these thank yous’ is never easy. It always feels like someone is left out and it’s always tough because like most artists we just want folks to connect with what we are doing and as a small independent artist trying to do this at a large scale it feels almost impossible some days.
Yet here we are trying so hard to get past the bullshit and just grow and evolve. There are so many people behind the scenes that help make this Heartsick thing come to life. You are all reading this right now and are one of those behind-the-scenes folks. The reality is without you there is no us and yes, it is a cheesy and cliché thing to say but it is true.
We don’t just make art for ourselves, we make it to share with others and every time we release something new, we all sit on batted breath hoping people dig it and connect. A huge thanks to Wombat Fire and crew for yet again making a video that is just out of this world and incredible. A true artist and visionary, I cannot state that enough. Thank you for allowing us to put art first and figure out the finances with you as we maneuver this music DIY thing.
Huge thanks to Josh Schroeder who at this stage isn’t just a guy we go to with song ideas to make them slay but a dude who is an extended member of the band and whose wisdom we truly learn from with each song we write. Josh is an animal in the studio from mixing, to writing, producing, to mastering, what can he not do…I can’t think of anything the guy is not a master at.
Big props to Barak Haring and Thrash White who wrote this entire song with Josh and honestly probably my favorite amongst many of the new songs. I truly feel that we are at the top of our game and firing on all cylinders. Please share this with everyone. This just doesn’t grow without people talking about it and getting behind it.
Things have changed and the internet and money rules all. We are just 4 regular ass dudes from regular families whose parents and them selves work hard just to survive. This is not making us millionaires and the only way we can keep this in people’s peripheral is with you all spreading the word.
Watch the video, stream the song, shove it in everyone you knows face that enjoys this type of music and art. From Waylon, Thrash, Barak, and myself I truly hope you continue to get behind us and that this song makes your day a little brighter.
