Jacob Tierney‘s latest Heated Rivalry update is anything but boring.
Indeed, the show’s creator shared insight into season two’s timeline as his team prepares to bring the captivating romance between hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) back to life.
“We start shooting in August,” Jacob told Gayle King in a joint interview with executive producer Brendan Brady on the Feb. 26 episode of CBS Mornings. “We’re writing it now. We’re getting ready to start shooting this summer. There will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs, like, truly, as soon as humanly possible.”
As for when fans can see Shane and Ilya lace up their skates once again? April 2027.
Jacob admitted that following Heated Rivalry‘s release, he didn’t expect it to explode in popularity the way it did, thanks to HBO picking up the series one week before its premiere.
“We didn’t know we were going to sell this show,” he explained. “We didn’t know anyone was going to watch it. I had not written a second season. I did not know I was going to get a second season. But it’s all happening.”
