It’s the first weekend of Coachella, and as always, it doubles as a high-wattage celebrity hot spot where the famous gather, often trying to outdo each other with their over-the-top festival fashion.
Among them this year is supermodel-turned-TV host Heidi Klum, but if you weren’t looking closely, you may not have known it was her.
Klum loves to dress up, and she’s known for showing up unrecognizable, especially when it comes to her Halloween costumes each year. But that holiday is months away, and the 52-year-old just rocked an outfit that had her fans doing more than a double-take because quite a few people had no idea it was her.
Late Saturday, Apr. 11, the German-born model shared a video of herself sashaying through the grass at Coachella with her own version of “Sunglasses at Night” playing over it. While walking away from the camera, Klum put on a cheeky display in sheer black lingerie bottoms that were accented with white lace.
Over it, she wore a sheer white asymmetrical mididress with handkerchief panels and had one side tucked into the thin strap of a small black handbag. She tied the outfit together with a pair of black-and-white printed cowboy boots, black fishnets, and oversized futuristic sunglasses. The star of the show was Klum’s long, black wig that fell down her back in long, tousled tresses. When she turned around, a thick row of black bangs threatened to overtake her sunglasses.
The outfit is exactly what one might expect to see at Coachella, but Klum still managed to surprise her fans, who had no idea it was her.
“That black wig just unlocked a whole new version of you 🔥 what’s the name of this character?” one commenter asked on her Instagram post.
Another wrote, “Heidi just walking around and no one knows it’s her. Iconic.”
A third commenter chimed in, “OMG, is that Heidi? I thought it was someone else! She’s super gorgeous, she’s a diva! 😍👏🏻”
“Hahaha. For one minute I thought it was a Kardashian. 😂😂😂,” yet another fan wrote.
