Don’t have plans for the last day of August? Head to Alamo Drafthouse to check out 25 short films created by Corpus Christi filmmakers.
The Corpus Christi 7 Day Film Project, an annual competition in which movie lovers create short films within one week, will hold its screening day at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at 7601 S. Staples St.
Tickets range from $20 to $45 and can be purchased at cc7day.com.
The 25 short films, created by 25 teams, all include “essential elements” that CC7D provided at the kick-off event in July. The four elements were a source of light as a prop; the line of dialogue, “I am ready”; a character named Nick or Nicky who is depicted as an unreliable person; and a thought, idea or concept incorporated in the short film that shows how the new Harbor Bridge inspired the filmmakers.
The films will be divided into three flights. The first will start at 1 p.m., the second at 3 p.m. and the last at 5 p.m.
