A ride at Hersheypark has claimed a spot on the 10 best new attractions for 2026.
The Derry Township theme park made the 10Best list for Best New Theme Park Attraction (2026) from USA Today with a recent addition.
“Each year, theme parks across the United States introduce parkgoers to a new lineup of attractions, from extreme thrill rides that push our adrenaline-pumping limits to themed experiences that awaken our imaginations,” reads the entry on USA Today’s website.
USA Today’s lists are selected by editors and readers, with a panel of experts nominating their top picks and readers casting their votes.
And coming in at number 9 on the list is Hersheypark’s Twizzlers Twisted Gravity.
“The world’s tallest Screamin’ Swing, the pendulum catapults riders progressively higher, creating an out-of-body combination of airtime and zero-G moments at speeds of up to 68 mph,” the website reads. “The ride is situated on a hill, offering incredible views as long as you can pry open your eyes.”
The Twizzlers Twisted Gravity ride opened in March of 2025. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall.
It is the only ride in Pennsylvania to make the list, but our neighbors in Ohio nabbed four of the 10 entries.
Conservation Tower at Zoombezi Bay in Powell, Ohio came in 10th, Dawn Breaker at Kalahari Resorts Sandusky was 7th, and Sandusky’s Cedar Point nabbed two spots; Top Thrill 2 took 6th place, and Siren’s Curse was 4th.
And if you’re headed to the midwest this year, the top spot went to Fire Runner at Los Island Theme Park in Waterloo, Iowa.
