The various seasonal Hershey attractions are preparing for the holidays, including Hershey’s Chocolate World.
For the first time, the visitor center has made Christmas-themed updates to its Chocolate Tour Ride, with a soft launch today. It is the first update to the ride since 2016.
The new additions include over 2,000 new holiday lights strung up in garlands, a new Christmas-themed soundtrack, and 11 new animatronic elves along the track.
“Drawing inspiration from Hershey’s iconic 1980s and 1990s holiday elves, the new characters blend nostalgic design with a fresh, playful spirit,” a press release for the new updates reads.
The ride has also replaced several digital displays with new analog animatronic features. The new updates were celebrated with a special event for Chocolate World’s email subscribers, but the ride remains is free and accessible for all Chocolate World visitors.
Chocolate World also offers Christmas-themed events and attractions, including photos with Santa Claus, Hershey Trolley rides through the Hershey Sweet Lights, a Holiday Chocolate House and exclusive Hershey products.
