Thousands attend Highlands St. Patty’s Day Parade
Thousand showed up to watch the Highlands St. Patrick’s Day Parade and enjoys a good time and good weather.
The luck of the Irish came to Highlands on Saturday, when the borough’s Business Partnership hosted its 21st annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The festivities featured nearly 100 groups of bagpipers, Irish bands, school bands and floats marching along Bay Avenue. The parade was led by grand marshal, Mayor Carolyn Broullon.
The day also included entertainment throughout the borough, and in addition to celebrating Irish culture, this year’s parade honored America’s 250th anniversary.
