For years, it felt like real estate could only move in one direction—up. Sellers were firmly in the driver’s seat, and if a beautiful home hit the market, it often didn’t take long for a buyer to swoop in, sometimes even sparking a bidding war. But lately? Things are looking a little different. Even stunning properties with famous owners aren’t guaranteed an easy sale.
Take the Hamptons home belonging to Alec and Hilaria Baldwin. The couple has been trying to part with the property off and on since 2022, and while it’s certainly drawn attention—especially since it appeared on their The Baldwins docu-series on A&E—a deal hasn’t quite come together yet. It’s not that the house isn’t beautiful (it very much is), but today’s buyers are a bit more cautious, and asking prices are being scrutinized more than they were during the height of the market frenzy.
Still, there’s clearly plenty of love for the home. In fact, Hilaria recently took to Instagram with a heartfelt (and very relatable) plea hoping the right buyer might finally come along for the gorgeous Hamptons retreat.
The property is located in Amagansett, New York, which is located on Long Island’s South Fork. It sits serenely between East Hampton Village and Montauk—the perfect spot for living a quiet life while raising kids.
“Hey guy, you know how much we love the Hamptons,” Hilaria says at the start of the Instagram video. “We’ve made the most amazing memories in our home. We spend summers in our pool, go down to the beach which is really close to where we are—the kids go to camp there. We cook, we spend time together—it’s such an amazing, beautiful place. Our family is going to be off on an adventure that I cannot tell you about yet but we’re going to be leaving the area, which is bittersweet.”

The mother of seven goes on to say that she wants the home to go to people who will love it as much as they have.
What’s the Price of the Baldwins’ Hamptons Home?
Currently, the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom house is listed for $19.995M. This is a significance price difference from the first time they listed the Hamptons estate back in 2022 to the tune of $29M.
The property really is stunning and was first built back in 1770. It’s most recent renovation occurred in 2017 and the farmhouse style-structure sits on an impressive 10 acres of land. Whomever has the nearly $20M to fork over for the home is one lucky buyer.
