Melissia Gauthreaux, a former accountant who worked for Hulk Hogan, has been federally indicted on six counts of wire fraud for allegedly embezzling more than $890,000 from a Florida public figure between 2017 and 2021.
The indictment, which follows a lengthy FBI investigation, does not identify the victim by name, describing the target only as an unidentified “public figure” in Florida. Hogan employed Gauthreaux during that same period, with bookkeeping among her listed duties.
Prosecutors say Gauthreaux used her firm, Accounting Resources and Management Services, to divert the funds. According to TMZ, the federal indictment states she held signatory authority over the alleged victim’s accounts, meaning she could sign documents on their behalf, which prosecutors allege she used to move money without consent.
Each wire fraud count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, putting Gauthreaux’s total exposure at up to 120 years if convicted on all six charges.
Hogan died last summer after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida. That same home took a major $2 million price cut recently after being originally listed for $10.98 million. According to Realtor.com, the waterfront property now comes with an asking price of $8.99 million.
Hogan bought the home in 2012 for $3.33 million, later adding an adjacent beachfront cottage in 2016 for $1.6 million.
