Fall is officially here, and it’s a time to embrace all things spooky! With Halloween coming up, it’s only fitting we watch something that evokes a bit of horror, fright, and even a bit of intrigue! Luckily, director Guillermo Del Toro is here to give us the perfect movie thanks to the release of his latest film, Frankenstein.

Taking inspiration from the 1818 book of the same name, Oscar Isaac stars as a scientist who’s desperate to bring a creature (played by Jacob Elordi) to life. While he manages to do so, his remarkable experiment comes with dire consequences that affect everyone (both living and man-made) involved.

Given how Frankenstein has already caused quite a buzz at major film festivals over the last few months, there’s a good chance you’re curious about where you can see the film for yourself. We’re actually pretty intrigued by this too, and we did the legwork so you don’t have to.

Is Frankenstein streaming?

As of October 17, fans will only be able to see Frankenstein in a limited theatrical release at various local cinemas. But there’s no need to worry if you miss it, because it’ll only be a short time before you can watch and stream the movie at home.

When the time comes to see the movie at home, you can watch and stream Frankenstein on Netflix. What’s more, the movie will stream just three weeks after first hitting the box office, beginning Friday, November 7, 2025.

For those who don’t have an account yet on Netflix, we highly recommend you create one before Frankenstein drops on the platform. Luckily, the site offers a number of plans to choose from that begin at just $7.99 per month. Once you’re all set, make sure you click on the title page on either Netflix’s website or on the Netflix app.
