Next Gen NYC star Riley Burruss has slowly been revealing information about her boyfriend to fans. We don’t know much about him yet, and Riley wants to keep it that way. However, that doesn’t mean she’s keeping him away from her family. So what does her mom, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kandi Burruss, think of her daughter’s boyfriend? According to Kandi, Riley’s new boyfriend “shocked” her.

Riley made it known loud and clear that she was keeping things with her man private. She was on Watch What Happens Live when she shared her thoughts. She said, “I think everyone knows I like to keep my love life private, but now, you know.” Riley added, “But I still try to keep my love life, you know, close to my heart.”
Since then, Riley did share some photos of the couple together celebrating her birthday. While we still don’t know his name yet, it’s clear he makes Riley pretty happy. But what does Kandi think about it all? And what did he do that “shocked” her?
Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported that Kandi and Riley were on Sherri Shepard’s talk show when Kandi spilled the tea. Kandi had said that Riley’s boyfriend “shocked” her because she liked him. Kandi said, “I actually like this one.”
She added, “I like him a lot … I love him because he’s smart, and he’s like really pushing [Riley] to do better.” Kandi noted that she liked how he had his own thing going on and was a good influence on Riley.
Kandi said, “I think that helps when you have good influence around you, somebody who sees great things for you, and he has his own thing going on. He’s educated; he’s doing big things.”
Riley agreed. She stated, “A lot of men nowadays are rough, but he is really amazing. He’s a great man. His parents are amazing, and they raised a really amazing young man.”
