On Thursday, Selena Gomez shared photos from her first Thanksgiving with Benny Blanco as a married couple. In the first pic posted to her Instagram Stories, she offered a view of her backyard in Beverly Hills, set up with a long dining table. The table was decorated with gorgeous dinnerware, red candles, and flowers.
In the background, some of Gomez’s family can be seen coming down the stairs with food. The stairs are lined with tall white candles, and the sun is starting to set, painting the sky with colorful clouds.
Over the image, Gomez wrote, “Most thankful for all of you today…Happy Thanksgiving.”
In the second photo, Gomez is seated next to Blanco in front of a blazing outdoor fireplace hung with plants. They are cuddling together and Gomez is wearing a long pale pink shirt and a long white skirt covered in a teddy bear print. Blanco is wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.
The couple got married on Sept. 27, 2025 in Santa Barbara, California. The pair started dating in 2023 and got engaged in December 2024. On the August 7 episode of the podcast Therapuss with Jake Shane, Gomez talked about meeting Blanco when she was only 16 when they discussed making music together. They didn’t at the time, nor did she feel much of a connection.
“I feel like he was an acquaintance, if that makes sense,” she said. “To be honest, we weren’t besties. I just thought he was nice, and then we did a few songs together. [We did] ‘Same Old Love,’ which was awesome, and we had a great time… nothing really there. And then [we did] ‘I Can’t Get Enough,’ which was with Tainy and J Balvin… didn’t get it there either. I just thought he was funny, but I didn’t think anything of it.”
They worked on 2023’s “Single Soon” and reconnected.
“It wasn’t our favorite,” she admitted. “I can say this because I’m marrying him. It just really wasn’t what I thought I wanted. So he just came in and I was like, ‘Oh, hi, Benny,’ and we spoke for two hours. I asked him to hook me up with anybody that he knew who was cute, and he was like, ‘Oh, we do these things, these dinner nights. You should come,’ and next thing you know, we’re dating.”
She added, “He was terrified in the beginning because it was work and it’s combining, and people are going to get mad. And I’m like, ‘I don’t give a shit. Kiss me.’”
