South Park’s parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might still have an impact on the couple’s popularity to this day.
The hit cartoon series is receiving accolades for its 27th season that has been centered around taking jabs at President Donald Trump’s administration, specifically highlighting key individuals apart from it like Karoline Leavitt and Vice President JD Vance.
However, before the U.S. president became their subject of criticism, the writers steered their attention towards the British royal family during a “humiliating” episode.
In February of 2023, the show aired The Worldwide Privacy Tour episode, which focused on two fictional characters called the Prince and Princess of Canada, who took on the striking looks of Harry and Meghan.
Throughout the episode, the couple seeks privacy and seclusion in the quaint town of Colorado while performing actions that contradict their supposed wants.
In a recent poll conducted by the Express, readers were asked if they believe the series should be axed after its second season.
Out of the 3,782 participants in the poll, an overwhelming 3,632 voted in favor of canceling the series. Only 114 voters expressed that they would like to see more episodes in the future.
An additional 36 respondents were unsure whether the show should be canceled or not.
Some viewers still comment on their South Park feature, with one X user recently writing, “South Park was spot on about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.”
“This aged BEAUTIFULLY,” another chimed in.
A third added, “That was my favorite, we couldn’t stop watching & laughing about it! Wish they would do a new one with all the crap she’s doing now!”
