Pink hosts the 79th Annual Tony Awards from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, honoring excellence in Broadway productions.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards celebrate the best in Broadway over the course of the 2025-26 season. The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! lead all productions with 12 nominations each. The nominations for Best Play this year are “The Balusters” by David Lindsay-Abaire, “Giant” by Mark Rosenblatt, “Liberation” by Bess Wohl, and “Little Bear Ridge Road” by Samuel D. Hunter. “Liberation” is also the winner of the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This is Wohl’s second Broadway production after “Grand Horizons” debuted in 2020.

In the category of Best Musical, the five contenders are “The Lost Boys”, “Schmigadoon!”, “Titanique”, and “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)”. They all look to be crowned the best musical Broadway production this year.
“Schmigadoon!” has 11 other nominations, including Sara Chase as Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Ana Gasteyer as Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, and Christopher Gattelli for direction.
