This season on The Floor, an all-new, game-changing gimmick was added to the show. The Territory Freeze allows the contestant with the most wins at the midway point in the season to earn one of the most impactful powers in the series history. With the Terrotory Freeze in your back pocket nobody can challenge you until every contestant has played at least one duel. That could last them all the way until the finale. In this episode, “Who Will Win the Territory Freeze?” one contestant will earn that special gimmick and give themselves a shot at winning $250,000 this season. Heading into episode seven of season five, Eric and Kristen have won the most duels with five wins each.

Rob Lowe hosts The Floor for the fifth season. This trivia TV show tests the contestants with individual categories, weekly prizes, bonuses for winning three or more duels in a row, and a final prize of $250,000 for the person who conquers The Floor.
So far this season, multiple contestants have won three duels in a row. Mark earned a time boost in episode two and has been waiting to be challenged in biopics. Eric also won a time boost as well as the most duels, until the last episode. Paige won three in a row and went right back to the floor.
Kristen, on the other hand, won three in a row, stole the category of Barbie from Deon, then stayed on the floor to tie for the most wins with five. After this episode on of Eric, Kristen, or a future competitor will earn the Territory Freeze for the rest of this season.
