Two thousand and eight was not just a defining time for me, but for the world, for it was the year of auto-tune. Think about it. In 2008, Lil Wayne dropped Tha Carter III; T-Pain was gracing the radio waves with hits such as “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” and “Blame It” with Jamie Foxx; and Kanye West was still (kind of) unproblematic at this point, dropping bangers, including the auto-tune classic “Heartless.”
While you can take the girl out of 2008, you can’t take the 2008 out of the girl, and I still listen to a lot of those auto-tune classics daily. So, when I saw @haikuthehusky‘s recent TikTok of an adorable and somewhat musically inclined husky named Haiku singing into a microphone in auto-tune, it felt like coming home. And honestly, the pup deserves a record deal ASAP. Someone call Jack Antonoff! This is some fresh talent!
Anyway, the glorious eight-second clip shows Haiku donning a rather stylish blue checkered bandana and “singing” into a microphone. Honestly, it sounds like the beginning of a song on 808s & Heartbreak. I’ll literally be utterly shocked if an artist doesn’t sample this husky on a song soon.

“I’d Buy This Album”
TikTok absolutely loves this incredibly talented husky. It currently has seven million views, 1.7 million likes, 8,839 comments and over 89,000 saves. Many people couldn’t help but notice the similarities between Haiku’s singing and the musical styles of other famous artists.
“Close enough, welcome back Jason Derulo,” laughed one TikTok user in a funny comment.
“T-pain’s been real quiet since this dropped 🔥🔥🔥😂,” exclaimed another person.
“He sound like Travis Scott,” observed a third.
“cool so when is the album dropping?” asked someone else.
“in the night, I hear em talk, the coldest story ever toldddddddd,” joked a different TikToker.
Check out the cute video of this singing husky if you need a good laugh. It will definitely make you smile.
