Prince William may not be King at the moment, but there will one day come a time when he will wear the Crown. While the prince’s royal responsibilities have increased since he became The Prince of Wales following his grandmother the late Queen’s death in September 2022, William still has plenty of time for family.
However, this time is expected to be less when he becomes monarch, with the weight of the crown on his shoulders. While this may be the case, one former royal staff member has said that he thinks William will still put family first.
This is because William has always been protective of his family, which includes his wife Princess Catherine and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Grant, who is a co-host of the podcast, said: “The late Queen obviously used to say The Crown came first then family, but it’s completely changed now.
“They (William and Catherine) absolutely put their family first. He was always protective of Kate even way back in the day.”
Talking about what will happen when William becomes King one day, Grant said: “I’m not saying he will turn his back on the duty, because he will always make sure things are done in the right way, but I just have a very strong feeling that he will always put his family and health before everything.”
Appearing onThe Reluctant Traveller, William, 43, told Canadian actor Eugene Levy: “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda.
“Change for good, and I embrace that and I enjoy that change. I don’t fear it, that’s the bit that excites me – the idea of being able to bring some change.
“Not overly radical change, but changes that I think need to happen.”
