Licensing hub ICE has announced its latest deals, and they focus on the Nordic region. Finland’s Teosto, Norway’s TONO and Iceland’s STEF are the latest societies to sign up to its ICE Core online-licensing initiative. Not that they’re strangers to ICE: all three already use its copyright services. But now they’ll be part of ICE Core, which has licensed more than 100 online services so far.
PRS for Music, STIM, GEMA, BMI, IMRO and Sabam are among its roster of clients, as well as Concord, Songtrust and Peermusic from the publishing world. “This agreement provides us with a broader international network, more competitive terms, and the opportunity to deliver faster payouts to our members,” said TONO CEO Karl Vestli. “We value the confidence these societies have placed in us to expand our services and represent the rights of their members, for whom we are committed to securing the best possible representation and returns,” added ICE boss Peter de Monnink.
