Live trial set to take place this week
I’m a Celeb bosses have announced they’re bringing back a fan favourite this week – it’s live trial time!
They haven’t said what day it will take place, but we do have details of what it will entail.
‘Cocktails of Cruelty’ is a head-to-head drinking trial where each of the two celebrities will have to pick two “delicious” (aka disgusting) drinks. The first celebrity to down both of theirs will be the winner.
We haven’t seen a live trial Down Under in six years, though there was one when I’m a Celeb took place in Wales back in 2020.

Is ITV’s new trials rule working?
In a bid to stop the same celebrity from being voted to do every trial, ITV introduced a new rule this year.
For the first time in the show’s history, celebrities cannot be voted to do more than two trials in a row. This hasn’t exactly helped mix things up though, as viewers have essentially voted for Aitch and Angryginge on alternate nights – which has proven boring for some…

Recap: Alex’s contraband blunder
There’ll be punishment for it tonight, so let’s take another look at that contraband moment.
I can’t believe Alex was so blatant about it?! Perhaps the campmates really do forget the cameras are there after a few days?

And it’s fair to say, viewers are feeling optimistic…

I’m A Celeb contraband through the years
Tonight’s episode will see Alex Scott face the consequences after appearing to sprinkle some contraband salt in the camp’s dinner – but she’s far from the first I’m a Celebrity star to sneak in a prohibited item.
Last year, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough snuck teabags in by hiding them in his water bottle holder while back in 2010, Gillian McKeith infamously hid a whole host of herbs and spices in her underwear.
Not all of the jungle smugglers have brought in kitchen items, though.
In 2013, Amy Willerton took in make-up and managed to keep it secret for an impressive 10 days. The year before, David Haye didn’t fare too well with his incredibly obvious contraband: mobile phones.

Camp roles reassigned by new leaders
Here’s a little reminder for you of those reassigned chores after new camp leaders Aitch and Ginge dished out the tasks…
- Jack and Alex as camp chefs
- Tom and Vogue on washing up
- Shona and Kelly on water
- Eddie and Martin on wood
- Ruby and Lisa on the dunny.

The days just roll into one
They’ve only been there a week, but already the contestants are losing track of time.
Case in point: Kelly Brook, who only went and forgot it was her birthday.

The Aitch and Ginge Show
There’s no denying that Aitch and Ginge are a funny duo, but I’m a Celebrity is in danger of becoming a bit too eschewed in their favour.
It’s clear they’re a pre-made hit with younger viewers – and will undoubtedly be finalists – but I can envision viewers getting a bit tired of their screen time by the end.
