This year‘s Super Bowl halftime show once again displayed a lack of consciousness for those of us who still have an internal moral sense of right and wrong.
Whoever is in charge of selecting the halftime performers needs to be replaced and quickly so that we may find hope that at the next Super Bowl we can look forward to an evening of decent entertainment with our family and friends.
We should not feel we need to be on standby to cover our children’s eyes when the groping and grabbing begins as the entertainers execute dance moves in somewhat risqué fashion.
Some may enjoy this, but others may find it inappropriate, at least on national television.
Can we leave the questionable dancing to the football players who see the need to do that when they score a touchdown. Stop spending millions of dollars on a halftime performance that leaves many of us shaking our heads in disappointment and feeling we should have paid more attention in our school Spanish classes.
Remember those marching bands that would entertain the stadium audience while the teams regrouped in their locker rooms? Great music, executed precision, moves and colorful uniforms. There are schools across the country who could use that halftime performance money for the improvement of our educational structure, sports and most importantly our future academic leaders. “Bad Bunny, Bad business.”
