For one week, an Indian Classical Music Exhibition with live music stations will take place at Osterley Park and House.
Set in Osterley’s Yellow Breakfast Room, this exhibition is a collaboration between Pandit Ram Sahai Sangit Vidyalaya (PRSSV) Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage and the National Trust. Ends with live music on 21 February.
There will be students from PRSSV Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage performing in the House on Saturday, 21 February, to celebrate the exhibition with a grand finale. Learn more about Osterley’s musical history and the story of The Benares Baaj, the style of tabla founded in the early 19 century by Pt. Ram Sahai. The PRSSV are the custodians of the Benares Baaj Story, an extensive archive in West London. PRSSV was set up with the aim of giving people of all walks of life, regardless of their background, a chance to experience and learn the performing arts of India.
