Arun Tupe, an Indian social media star, was found dead inside his home on March 10. He was 26.

The content creator maintained a following of over 190,000 on Instagram, where he was known for sharing comedic videos. His Instagram bio, which identified him as a content creator and actor, read, “I like to make you laugh nothing else😁.”

According to Indian news outlets India TV News and NDTV, Tupe was discovered lifeless at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India, and was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Vinod Patil, a prominent Indian content creator and a friend of Tupe’s, shared in a post on Facebook that the late influencer died of a heart attack, though authorities have not publicly released a cause of death.

“A very sad news has come out from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city,” read his tribute. “Arun Tupe, the famous reel star and social media content creator who made thousands of people smile through his reels and comedy videos passed away from a severe heart attack this morning.”

Tupe seemingly shared his final post to Instagram — a video parodying how content creators shoot social media content — on March 9, hours before his death.

In the comments, fans of the influencer shared tributes.

“Heartfelt condolences brother 😢” penned one.
