NEED TO KNOW

  • Several social media users criticized influencer Abby Baffoe’s choice of clothing after she posted photos from her weekend at the 2026 Masters at Augusta National

  • She revealed her look, which included shorts and a vintage Chanel shirt, in a video with over 2 million views on TikTok and many comments calling it inappropriate for the occasion

  • In response to the negative feedback, Baffoe posted a video of her flashing a peace sign with her hands, writing in the caption, “When you wake up getting canceled for your masters outfit”

Influencer Abby Baffoe isn’t hiding from her haters.

On Monday, April 13, the social media star posted a TikTok video referencing some of the harsher comments she faced after she posted content of herself at the 2026 Masters at Augusta National. The brief clip sees Baffoe flashing a peace sign in the air while walking toward the camera.

“When you wake up getting canceled for your masters outfit,” she wrote in overlaying text. In the caption, Baffoe added, “Won worst dressed masters 2026.”

The response follows her photos and videos from her weekend at the golf tournament, where she sported a Chanel top, white shorts, sneakers and a knit sweater wrapped around her shoulders. In the caption of her video revealing the outfit — which she accessorized with a baseball cap, sunglasses and a Chanel purse — Baffoe noted that she was wearing “vintage Chanel.”

She also shared a roundup of snaps from the event, which saw her standing outside in her curated look. “I’ll be dreaming of pimento cheese & peach ice cream sandwiches 🥪🍑⛳️🏌️,” she wrote alongside her Instagram post.

Her TikTok showing off the ensemble garnered over 2 million views, and many of the comments knocked Baffoe’s choice of attire.

“Tell me it’s your first time at the Masters without telling me it’s your first time at THE MASTERS..😑” one social media user wrote. In reply, Baffoe confirmed simply, “It’s my first time at the masters.”

Another commenter wrote, “Please research the appropriate attire for this event.” However, Baffoe’s outfit does not appear to conflict with any of the dress code rules stated on the event’s website. While the organization does refer attendees to its official Pinterest board for attire inspiration, the only specified restriction refers to footwear.

“The most important tip for Masters patron attire is to dress appropriately for the weather and consider wearing light layers, as temperatures in April range from highs of 80°F to lows of 50°F,” the site’s guidelines state. “Plan to wear comfortable, water-resistant shoes without spikes or pointed heels. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.”
