And as SoapCentral reports, the climactic ending builds to a point where the bus, which is loaded with 22 children (plus the adults) is seemingly on its last legs. As the survivors crawl through smoke, collapsed infrastructure and raging fire, hope prevails. Yet much of the emotional climax centers on Kevin finding his son. In a dramatized moment, Kevin arrives at his charred home to find a photo of himself with his son amongst the ruins. Then his son Shaun (played by Levi McConaughey) suddenly appears and walks out of a car with his mom, and they run into an embrace.
