NASA Langley Celebrates Community through Music with ‘Symphony Under the Stars’ Event

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

DANIEL AVERY – “NEON PULSE (MIDNIGHT VERSION)”

Here’s another track from Dan Avery’s top-to-tail remix of last year’s Tremor. “There are various techno heartbeats buried at the centre of Tremor so it felt good to bring these to the forefront on the Midnight Versions,” he says. “Machine music with a human soul – it’s an idea that has driven so much of what I do over the years. This track feels like the perfect example of that.”

RANSOM X BOLDY JAMES X NICHOLAS CRAVEN – “OFFERINGS”

Ransom and Boldy James are joining forces for a new project, Salvation For The Wicked, produced by Nicholas Craven and due out on February 12 via Momentum Entertainment. They’ve given us a preview with “Offerings.”

MEMORIALS – “WILDLY REMOTE”

“We started this song in a really cliched way – in a sound check!,” MEMORIALS’ Matthew Simms notes of this third preview from his group’s forthcoming second album. “It was at a memorable gig in Brest, a beautiful port town on the western-most tip of France. Brittany has embraced us and we love playing there! We wanted to try to capture, on the recording, an intimacy and atmosphere that we have found to be an important part of playing live, when in amongst the noisier outbursts come quiet, gentle moments. It’s the juxtaposition of the two and the twists and turns we take between them that we hope keep things interesting!”

CADENCE WEAPON – “ALPENFLAGE”

Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon announced a new album, Forager, due out April 24 via Six Shooter. It was produced by Junia-T, and he says it’s, “an exploration of fashion history in the form of classic hip-hop. This one is for the pickers, the shopkeepers, the thrifters, the stylists and the archivists.” He’s also shared a new single, “Alpenflage.”

—

GNOD – “SHADOW MIRROR”

Manchester’s Gnod are back with a fresh slab of dirgey psych: Chronicles of Gnowt (Vol 1) was made with Lankum/black midi producer John ‘Spud’ Murphy is due April 10 via Rocket. Get your nails dirty with “Shadow Mirror.”

—

PERFUME GENIUS – “UNDERCURRENT (CLEAN HEART)

Perfume Genius announced an extended version of his fantastic 2025 album Glory, due out February 27 via Matador. “All of Glory was born from these home recordings,” he says. “Most of the songs that made it on the record came together with just piano and vocal, which is a way I hadn’t written since I first started making music. There were some more exploratory songs that didn’t quite fit, but I still consider them a big part of the album’s DNA and am glad to share some of them with you. ‘Clean Heart’ in the studio went through a lot of incarnations before we landed on the bombastic one that stuck. I still think of it as a little hymn, so it is satisfying to share this piano version.”

Iron & Wine has given us another preview of his new album Hen’s Teeth with the folky “Roses.”

—

JESCA HOOP – “DESIGNER CITIZEN”

Jesca Hoop announced her seventh album, Long Wave Home, due out May 1. It’s self-produced, and the first single is “Designer Citizen.” “When I was faced with the challenge of writing and recording a new album I had the choice to stay where I was comfortable, under the sage guidance of a producer or step out into the dark and produce it myself,” she says. “It became clear, that if I was going to grow in the craft, I needed to become my own lighthouse. So I made the commitment to take on the producer role.”

—

ZIGGY MARLEY – “MANY MOURN FOR BOB”
