On Monday, Aug. 11, fans who’d had a hunch that Taylor Swift would announce something soon rushed to her official website to find a countdown to 12:12 a.m. ET (9:12 p.m. PT for us West Coast residents). When the countdown disappeared, it revealed the message “Pre Pre-Order: The Life of a Showgirl” with the option to advance purchase a new Swift album of the same name.
Swift also shared a teaser video to her Instagram of her upcoming appearance on “New Heights,” the podcast hosted by retired NFL player Jason Kelce and Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
In the clip, she pulls out a mint green briefcase with the letters “TS” in orange font on the front. Inside, she reveals, is her next album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Not long before the Taylor Nation post, Travis Kelce’s account and the “New Heights” podcast page jointly teased a “VERY special guest” for an episode on Aug. 13. The same glittery orange backdrop from Swift’s website and the Taylor Nation post was behind the three figures.
When did Taylor Swift last perform in California?
Swift closed out the initial leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour with six sold-out shows Aug. 3-5 and Aug. 7-9, 2023 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
