Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” is in full swing, but is there a new episode this week?
There won’t be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Nov. 29. Instead, NBC will re-air the season 51 episode hosted by Amy Poehler with musical guest Role Model. The episode originally aired on Oct. 11.
“SNL” typically takes a break for Thanksgiving. After Glen Powell hosted on Nov. 15 with musical guest Olivia Dean, the sketch comedy show began a two-week hiatus.
“SNL” will return with a new episode on Saturday, Dec. 6, with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon. McCarthy is already a member of the “SNL” five-time host club, while Dijon will be making his “SNL” debut. Dijon’s second album, “Baby,” was released in August.
Actor Josh O’Connor will also make his “SNL” debut when he hosts on Saturday, Dec. 13. He’s currently promoting the new “Knives Out” movie, “Wake Up Dead Man,” in which he plays a young priest named Jud Duplenticy. The film hits theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and makes it Netflix debut on Friday, Dec. 12.
O’Connor will be joined by musical guest Lily Allen, who released her fifth album, “West End Girl,” in October.
Ariana Grande is set to host the final “SNL” episode of 2025 on Saturday, Dec. 21. Cher will serve as the musical guest for the first time since 1987. Grande has become an “SNL” fixture, with two prior hosting gigs and three musical guest performances on her resume.

After Grande and Cher’s episode, “SNL” will take a break for the holidays. The show will likely return in mid-January.
