I’m A Celebrity South Africa sees hosts Ant and Dec welcoming former stars from the ITV series to compete once more

Presenters Ant and Dec were back on our TV screens on Easter Monday with I’m A Celebrity‘s all-star version of the ITV show featuring a host of famous faces who had previously set foot in the jungle.
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa saw eight iconic campmates make an epic return to test themselves all over again in a brand new South African setting.
The hosts welcomed actor and TV presenter Adam Thomas, Heart radio DJ Ashley Roberts, Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah, Corrie icon Beverley Callard, TV presenter Scarlett Moffatt, former champion boxing David Haye, pop icon Sinitta and comedian Seann Walsh.
A new twist for this second series of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa is that the public will have the power to decide who is crowned the ultimate legend 2026.
After weeks of watching the celebrities navigate camp life in pre-recorded clips, viewers will cast the final vote in a live grand final broadcast directly from London.

Just minutes into the launch show, fans were rushing to social media to air their thoughts on I’m A Celebrity – and many were feeling “freaked out” that it is being screened in April. The original series, which started more than 20 years ago, is broadcast from Australia in the run-up to Christmas.
One viewer posted: “So weird hearing the #ImACeleb theme tune in April.” A second said: “Did I black out? Is it winter already? #ImACeleb.”
Another commented: “Watching I’m a celeb without my Christmas tree up freaks me out lollll #ImACeleb.” And a fourth added: “Feels very strange hearing the #ImACeleb theme tune in April ngl, feel like I should be putting my Christmas tree up.”
A fifth said: “Feel like I need to be putting up my Christmas decorations watching this #ImACeleb.”

Adam and Ashley were the first celebrities to arrive and greet Ant & Dec on the top of a high cliff ledge. Shortly afterwards they were joined by Sir Mo and Beverley who reunited after their 2020 IAC experience together in the Welsh castle. They were immediately split into two teams to go head to head in a series of challenges.
Ant revealed that their first challenge is called Tipped Over The Edge. In their pairs, they were strapped back to back and had to collect puzzle pieces from the ledge to build a star. The team that completed the star in the fastest time won.
Dec added that when they got closer to the cliff’s ledge the ledge would tip like a see-saw. So if they went too far, too soon, they would be sent over the edge hurtling into the drop below.

Ahead of the news series, Beverley took to Instagram on Sunday night to share an update following her breast cancer cancer diagnosis in February just after the series was filmed.
She stated: “Well, I’ve just got to, first of all, I’ve got to say Happy Easter – even though it’s a bit late – to everybody. Not a bad day today, but I didn’t eat chocolate because I just didn’t fancy it. And also, I want to remind everyone that tomorrow at 9pm, Easter Monday, I’m A Celebrity…South Africa begins.
“And I know everybody thinks I’m suddenly going away to South Africa. I’m not. We did film it a little while ago. So please watch it because it’s frightening, wonderful, horrifying, funny – it was terrifying, exhilarating, everything. But believe me, it’s great television, honestly, so I hope you enjoy it.”
