Speaking about the scale of the project, Jaafar Jackson made it clear that the creative team never viewed the material as something easily contained. “You can’t fit it all in one movie…it’s impossible,” he said, pointing to the breadth of Michael Jackson’s life and career.
That ambition appears to be translating into concrete plans. The actor confirmed that a continuation is not just theoretical, adding, “It’s in early development.”
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the picture traces Jackson’s rise from his childhood with the Jackson 5 through the early stages of his solo superstardom.
