
Jacob Elordi reveals heartfelt reaction after Critics Choice award
Jacob Elordi has recently revealed heartwarming reaction after achieving first major milestone at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on January 4.
The Australian actor, who plays the Creature in the Frankenstein movie, receives award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the motion picture at the event in Santa Monica, California on Sunday night.
During his acceptance speech, the Kissing Booth actor shares that his win takes him by surprise, saying, “Bloody hell – I really didn’t plan for it.”
Interestingly, Jacob expresses his gratitude to his award-winning movie-maker, Guillermo del Toro.
“Thank you, Guillermo… I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams when I was 11. I’m so happy to be here,” explains the 28-year-old.
Euphoria actor also acknowledges his collaborators on the movie, including Tamara Deverell (production designer), Kate Hawley (costume designer) and Mike Hill (prosthetics specialist) for the creative contributions.
“You guys are geniuses. I couldn’t walk around like this in front of a green screen. You guys made that world so thank you,” says Jacob.
Meanwhile, the Saltburn actor also thanks his mother and father before wrapping up his speech.
Besides Jacob, other fellow nominees in the category included One Battle After Another’s Benicio del Toro, and Sean Penn; Hamnet’s Paul Mescal; Jay Kelly’s Adam Sandler and Sentimental Value’s Stellan Skarsgård.
