The first full-length trailer for the upcoming film Wuthering Heights has dropped, as Jacob Elordi stars in a steamy sneak peek featuring new Charli XCX music.
Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of the 1800s romance novel stars Barbie herself, Margot Robbie, as Catherine, and Euphoria actor Elordi as Heathcliff, the two doomed lovers.
The trailer, following a previous teaser, shows us multiple hot-under-the-collar moments – from a muddy, shirtless Elordi to Robbie on her hands and knees, and Elordi stripping down to his bloomers.

The new footage is set against Charli’s song ‘Chains of Love’ from her album Wuthering Heights, which scores the soundtrack for the upcoming film.
Inspired by the famed Emily Brontë novel, Charli wrote on Substack: “I called Emerald and asked her what she was hoping for from my read of the script. She coyly suggested, ‘A song?’ and I suggested, ‘An album?’ – because why not?”
She added: “I wanted to dive into persona, into a world that felt undeniably raw, wild, sexual, gothic, British, tortured, and full of actual real sentences, punctuation, and grammar.”

In a nod to her Brat era, she said: “Without a cigarette or a pair of sunglasses in sight, it was all totally other from the life I was currently living. I was fucking in.”
According to the official film synopsis, Fennell turns Emily Brontë’s classic into an intoxicating tale of lust, obsession, and madness, charting the forbidden passion that binds, and destroys, its iconic lovers.
Alongside the two leads, Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell also feature in the production. Robbie additionally serves as a producer.
The 12-song Wuthering Heights album opens with ‘House,’ Charli’s recent collaboration with Velvet Underground co-founder John Cale, released on 10 October.

Charli praised the lead song on social media, writing: “I love this song and I love this video. This day was precious.” The video has gained widespread attention for its gothic inspiration and gory imagery.

One of the most shocking reportedly occurs right at the start: a public hanging that devolves into grotesque absurdity when the condemned man ejaculates mid-execution, sparking an orgiastic frenzy among onlookers – including a nun who fondles his “visible erection.”
Warner Bros. is slated to release Wuthering Heights on 13 February 2026, Valentine’s weekend.
