Jade Revels In Pop’s Chaos on Her Fun, Frothy Solo Debut

On the fiery assertion of purpose “It Girl” she see-saws between delivering balcony-delivered arias and surrendering herself to clipped electro-house beats, while the thunderous bad-romance lament “Natural At Disaster” surrounds a mirrorball-lit slow-dance with imposing walls of synth that add to its lyrics’ withering dramatics. Throughout the album, Jade is a winking eye at the center of a giddy, hooky pop storm, projecting a cheeky exuberance no matter what gets thrown her way.
