It was not long ago that Jason Aldean dropped “Try That In A Small Town” and vaulted right into the top spot for most controversial musician in the country.
Things have calmed down quite a bit since then for the country music megastar, and these days … well, he’s still out there touring and doing well, and on occasion working elementary school book fairs.
That’s right, folks sliding through the elementary school book fair in Tennessee recently might have gotten a glimpse of Aldean working the register. Per Taste of Country, Jason and his wife Brittany live in Columbia, Tennessee which is just outside of Nashville. The site said the Aldeans do a combo of homeschool and in-person classes for their children — Memphis and Navy — depending on the singer’s touring schedule.
And they were apparently back home in time for the kids to catch a bookfair at their in-person school because Brittany shared photos of Jason sitting behind the register with a bar scanner.
“Not me signing up to work the book fair,” she wrote.
She did not update with how many copies of Goosebumps the singer rang up at the fair, but folks loved the wholesome family activity.
As for getting back out on the road, Aldean’s next concert is slated for Nov. 8 in Nevada.
