On May 29, Centricity Music artist Jaye King released “I’ve Got Jesus” – his latest single and one of the most direct declarations of faith to hit New Music Friday this week. Alongside the release, King posted a simple message to fans: “This song means so much to me and is so timely. I pray it means as much to you as it does to me.”
The single was produced by Kevin Rooney and co-written by King alongside J. Nichols and Paul Duncan – the same creative focus that has defined his sound since signing with Centricity Music in late 2025.
A Bradenton, Florida native now based in the Nashville area, King blends feel-good funk, smooth R&B, and enthusiastic Gospel with lyrics fueled by high optimism and an unshakable belief in a God who is in the business of redemption.
King has been open about his calling from the start – “When you’re an artist, usually it’s ‘look at me,’ but my sole calling is to tell people to look at Him,” he has said.
Raised by a single mom, King’s story is both messy and miraculous – his melodies are as big and bold as his personality, but his lyrics are as intimate as his prayers.
“I’ve Got Jesus” is a song built for a moment when everything else feels uncertain. And for King, that’s exactly the point.
The single is available now on all streaming platforms.
