This year has been eventful for the punk-ska infused Jayniac Jr. Earlier this year, Jayniac Jr. released their third EP Flower Mouth. They recently released their newest EP GirlFoe, with the title track getting its own music video shot by Xavier Emile.
The unique signature behind Jayniac Jr.’s music isn’t frontman Jay’s smooth baritone vocals or their wacky instrumentation but their ability to capture your ears with full attention. Water slowly trickles from the ceiling as the track dives head first into the group’s eccentric blend of big band, reggae, ska, and punk. Crunchy guitars, soaring woodwinds, and blaring trumpets electrify the track as Jay’s powerful vocals bellow from deep within him. It’s a fun time that will surely catch anyone’s attention.
