Jelly Roll has officially removed any mention of his estranged wife Bunnie Xo from his Instagram bio.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed the country crooner’s subtle social media edit as the longtime couple prepares to officially move forward following news of his divorce filing.
His profile previously showed a lock and key emoji along with Bunnie Xo’s Instagram username @xomgitsbunnie. Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) now only has “Music Man” written above a link with tickets to his recent concerts.
Jelly Roll, 41, notably has the phrase “Music Man” tattooed across his forehead, an homage to his now-ex, 46, (real name Alisa DeFord), who got a similar tat on her leg.
“My wife has ‘Married a music man’ tattooed on her leg from the Elton John lyric,” he said during an interview with GQ in March 2024, referencing the hitmaker’s song “Tiny Dancer.”
Speaking about his extensive tattoo collection, Jelly Roll added, “I realized that almost all of my tattoos represent who I was, none of them represent who I am. And quite a few years ago, I looked at my wife, and I said, ‘I don’t want to be bound to these old tattoos anymore. I want them to be reflective of who I am.’ And I was like ‘I think I’m gonna put Music Man on my forehead.’”
Jelly’s divorce filing obtained by Us Weekly notes May 9 as the former couple’s official separation date, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage. Court docs stated that the “parties are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife.” In the wake of their breakup, Jelly Roll proposed the exes have “an equitable division of the parties’ assets.”
The former couple tied the knot in 2016, briefly calling it quits in 2018 before reconciling and renewing their vows in 2023.
Bunnie, for her part, has since enjoyed a night with friends in her latest post shared via Instagram Stories, followed by a glam selfie with the song “Magic Man.”
Earlier this year, she discussed her “rough” IVF journey and the couple’s hopes to have children via surrogate. (Jelly Roll shares daughter Bailee Ann with ex-girlfriend Felicia Beckwith and son Noah Buddy with ex Melisa Ann Cowell.)
Bailee Ann, 18, broke her silence on Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s split via TikTok on Tuesday, June 16. “I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s fkn crazy,” she wrote over a photo of herself in bed. “Go on somewhere yall. Worry ‘bout your house — not mine. I’m not speaking on it — yet.”
