Jennifer Aniston’s Bond with Ex Justin Theroux Makes New Beau Jim Curtis ‘Uncomfortable’ (Exclusive)

Jennifer Aniston’s close friendship with her ex-husband Justin Theroux is threatening her new romance with Jim Curtis, an insider tells the National Enquirer.

“Jennifer has been very transparent about the fact that Justin is still in her life,” the insider says of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star, who was married to the Friends alum, 56, from 2015 to 2018.

Theroux, 54, wed Nicole Brydon Bloom earlier this year — and Aniston is cordial with both. “Jen has met his wife and has introduced Justin to Jim, so from her perspective it’s not a problem because they’re strictly friends,” adds the insider, noting that the Morning Show actress usually “makes a point” to catch up with her ex when she visits New York City.

“She doesn’t want to suddenly change simply because she’s in a relationship,” says the insider. “It’s a sticking point for her because in the past she’s been guilty of changing herself to fit what a man wants and she’s vowed never to do that again.”

Still, friends are warning Aniston to be more respectful of her relationship with the transformational coach, says the insider, who notes the friendship “makes Jim uncomfortable.”

“That should really be enough for her to step back from Justin,” adds the insider, “but so far she’s being stubborn and it’s causing a lot of friction in her relationship.”
