Jennifer Aniston’s alleged stalker has been released from jail.
A 49-year-old Mississippi man named Jimmy Wayne Carwyle has been incarcerated since his arrest on May 5, 2025, the day he rammed a Chrysler PT Cruiser into the gates of the Friends star’s 21 million home in Bel Air, Calif. He not only allegedly caused $50,000 in damages, but has also left the actress in “fear.”
Following the incident, Aniston’s lawyers said the actress has been living in “ongoing fear that Mr. Carwyle will continue to fixate on her and likely return to stalking her at the first available juncture.”
On top of the attempt at invading her property, he was accused of harassing Aniston for two years prior through multiple emails and voice notes, calling her his “wife.”
Carwyle was described as being “psychotic” with “hyper-religious thoughts” and “erotomanic delusions,” which refers to a mental state in which an individual believes another person is in love with them.
According to the Daily Mail, they requested Carwyle “get the appropriate treatment, in the appropriate setting” to relieve her worries.
Carwyle is also required to “take all prescribed medications.”
He also “shall not leave the program without permission, shall not consume illicit drugs, marijuana, or alcohol, and shall not possess dangerous or deadly weapons.”
Carwyle has previously admitted to domestic violence chages and liking the “high” from methamphetamine.
Along with the drug provisions and treatment program, Carwyle is required to wear an ankle monitor with GPS monitoring.
To guarantee Aniston’s safety, the judge has ordered him to “to stay away at least one mile from, and have no contact with the victim, her home and any of her representatives or agents.”
He has been in the treatment program since November 17. Since his arrest, a doctor has diagnosed him with schizophrenia, alcohol use and cannabis use disorder.
