Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner know how to coparent successfully.
The two Hollywood heavyweights, who split in 2015, were spotted by the Daily Mail reuniting for a trip to the movies on Friday. Affleck, 53, wore a white T-shirt with tan pants and a black and gray jacket, while Garner, 53, sported a navy blue and gray striped zip cardigan with jeans. The couple’s two younger children followed them, while Affleck’s mother was also in attendance. (Their eldest child, Violet, is currently studying at Yale.)

The couple reunited once again back in July to take in a Red Sox game at Fenway Park in Boston. The family of four watched the Sox take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
Earlier this month, Affleck was spotted out and about on his 53rd birthday with his two younger children, according to Page Six. The trio headed out to lunch at a farmer’s market bakery and café in Santa Monica. The occasion marked the star’s first birthday since his divorce from Jennifer Lopez was finalized back in January.
Affleck Says Missing His Children is the Hardest Part of Directing
While Affleck has had great success as a director with films like The Town and Argo, he’s made it clear that the experience has significant downsides. At the top of the list is the amount of time it takes him away from his children.
“It’s so consuming. The one regret I have about all the movies that I’ve directed is the amount of time it’s taken me away from my kids,” he told GQ back in March, explaining why he prefers to work his nine-to-five role with his production company, Artists Equity. “I love making art. I loved making The Town. But I was away from my kids for long periods of time. There’s little chunks that I missed, and that doesn’t feel good. And I think part of what’s great about this Artists Equity job, part of why I love it, is because I’m in LA. When we’re done at 2:30, I’m going to go, and I’ll be home at 3:45 when my kids get off the bus. And I’m able to construct a life that does that. And that means more to me than any of it. That makes me happier.”
