Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband Ben Affleck reunited during the premiere of their latest musical drama in New York. The singer’s kids, Emme and Max, and her mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, were also present to support her at the premiere.
It was at the event when the global icon opened up about how her family and their love keep her going. When “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi asked about her support system, Jennifer said, “My family for me is really the thing that made me who I am, that helps me be able to survive in the chaos of this business.”
She further emphasised that her family and her team are well-aware of who she is and “that’s all that matters” to her.
Lopez continued, “They know who I am, and that for me is such a grounding presence in my life that I’m able to do and withstand so much and stick to the passion of what I love to do and keep my eye on the prize all the time.”
While she might be a star for the world, for her, the “important things” are “love and family, and their support.” It means “everything” to her.
This is not the first time the 56-year-old actress has spoken about her family, especially her 17-year-old twins. During the October 6 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the star revealed that her children are “leaving” for college. She is extremely “happy” about her kids for “figuring out” the next phase of their lives.
The “Im Real” singer admitted that although “a lot has happened,” but her bonding with her kids has only grown stronger over the years. “We’re close. We’re a close-knit three. We had to bond together. And so that kind of changed things and made it really beautiful for us,” she revealed.
