Jeremy Allen White just became a high school graduate — at age 34.
During the Thursday, October 23 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the Bear star revealed he never actually finished high school. “I wasn’t a good student,” White admitted, explaining that he had “a hard time paying attention.” He also confessed that he used to “just leave at lunch and never come back.”
White attended the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan.
“I didn’t get all my credits, and so I never graduated,” he told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos during the interview, which was prerecorded.

The actor went on to reveal that he finally received his diploma last month when his former drama teacher, Mark Parente, surprised him with the document at the New York Film Festival premiere of his upcoming film Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
“I had him come because he’s a great teacher and we’ve remained friends — but he’s also a really, really big [Bruce] Springsteen fan,” White recalled. “At the end of the night he gave me a gift … and it was my high school diploma.”
White, who began acting professionally as a teen, said the long-awaited milestone “felt really nice.”
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere hits theaters October 24.
